Love Trauma

Ecclesiastes 3:11

11 He has made everything beautiful in its time.

A middle-age man is a befitting character to a TV drama series. He had a trauma with love after his parents divorced. He deliberately avoided closer relationship with women. He focused on advancing his career. He excelled and promoted to be the second highest ranking employee at his company. However, he was avoided by other employees because of his sternness and unsympathetic attitude to failures. Things changed though when he met his secretary. By chance, his secretary had a failed love relationship, and she also devoted her life to her career. She was great in assisting administrative responsibilities but her boss misinterpreted her diligence and respect to authorities. In short, they came to like each other.

Screenplays are attractive when viewers can relate with the storylines. Movie storylines may have been based or have similarities to actual life events. When mankind fell into sin, the life designed by our Creator was never been perfect again. However, God did not leave humans to forever suffer the consequences of sinfulness. It says in Romans 5:6-8, 6At just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

When by faith we believe that Christ’s death was the ultimate payment for our sins and accept Him to be the Lord of our life, God sends Christ’s Spirit into our hearts as assurance of our eternal life. Eternal life is God’s perfect design for believers. Eternal life starts when we personally accepted Christ as Lord and Savior. Even while living on earth, we can sense partial aspects of eternal life when we let the Spirit of Christ take over and direct every aspect of our life. The life God designed for us turns out great when we let Christ perform His lordship in us.

Lord Jesus, help me submit to Your Lordship wholeheartedly.
