Ecclesiastes 9:10

¹⁰ Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom. 

In the past few months, news related to the pandemic had not cooled down, just yet. People may worry about the pandemic, but death will eventually overtake us, whether natural death, accident or caused by deadly disease. Accordingly, Covid-19 virus would worsen the severe condition of patients who are suffering from other deadly diseases. Celebrities or ordinary individuals are not exempted, but of course, celebrities are featured in news articles; and such tragic incidents, news outlets are very quick to add their commentaries as practical proof to their personal opinions about the pandemic and its vaccine.

As believers, is it worthy to join the argument about the pandemic and its vaccine? Unless you personally have sufficient empirical proof and pragmatic support for your view or you are paid to give your opinion, it would be more productive and beneficial for us to do our task responsibly with all our might. Additionally, you win or lose an argument, what does such effort count to eternal life?

It says in Luke 12:47, ⁴⁷The servant who knows the master’s will and does not get ready or does not do what the master wants will be beaten with many blows.

The Lord God watches over us to see if we are worthy to be rewarded of our activities or the otherwise. All of us are strategically situated to accomplish the task that the Lord had assigned for each of us. Most often, worldly lifestyle dissuade us away from our mission purposes as believers. It is very advisable to keep seeking the empowerment of the Holy Spirit of Christ for us be focused to life in eternity and be enthusiastic of earning our eternal treasures. When the Lord returns, are you prepared to receive rewards from him?

Lord Jesus, fill me with your Holy Spirit to do the mission purposes you have for me.
