Practice

Ecclesiastes 10:10

10If the ax is dull and its edge unsharpened, more strength is needed, but skill will bring success.

It has been commonly heard that, “Practice makes perfect!” Truly, most athletes would subscribe to such belief. The more practices they do, the more proficiency and accuracy they would expect, but not necessarily perfection. Students of any field of dream should adhere to the demand of regular practice. Practice of mental, physical and spiritual exercises is very beneficial to the practitioner.

Everyone can be pressured and affected by personal and family concerns, but to be focused on your trade despite outside disturbances is far more productive than aimless negligence. So, how could we focus when we are bombarded, left and right, with challenges of pandemic, finances, relationships, studies, calamities or recessions?

Most often, serious concerns that may disrupt focus on the task at hand could cause also worry of possible effectual results. Worry of unfavorable outcome may expose practically how we approach Christian lifestyle. So, whenever we worry, we’ve got to remember what the Lord Jesus Christ instructed in Matthew 6:33-34, 33Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

The instruction, “seek his kingdom” means to allow Jesus Christ perform his Lordship in our life; “seek his righteousness” means to live in godly lifestyle of righteousness. And, the term “therefore” points to the result of not worrying about what tomorrow may bring about. Of course, it takes consistent practices to allow Jesus Christ performs his Lordship in our life and to have godly righteousness lifestyle; but first and foremost, we’ve got to pray for empowerment of the Lord because only God can enable us to remember and obey his instructions. And when we become consistent, our life experiences as believers of Jesus Christ serve as practical exhibits when we testify of the grace of God at work in our life.
