Pastor
Pastor Lorenzo Sallong is the resident pastor of The Maples Evangelical Church (TMEC) and a missionary. He teaches a clear principle that only by the grace of God one can have eternal life and live victoriously in this world. His messages provide assurance that when God’s grace is at work, nothing is impossible.
Pastor Lorenz was born in a small town of Alilem, Ilocos Sur in northen part of the Philippines. He was born-again in October 1988 when a dear friend of him showed him how to have eternal life. Since then, he had that desire to win others for Christ instilled and developed in his very own person.
He studied at Philippine Baptist Theological Seminary and obtained his Bachelor of Theology degree in 2000, Master of Arts in Missiology in 2004, and his Master of Divinity in 2005. Having that yearning to learn more about God, he further pursued his biblical post-gra
duate studies. In 2009, he received his doctorate – Doctor of Theology (ThD) – from Asia Baptist Graduate Theological Seminary, a few months before he joined TMEC.
He is married to Maribel Sallong and have three children: Loriebel, Louie, and Lyka. In 2005, Pastor Lorenz together with his family went to East Asia as missionary. Earlier, they have been to Indo-China as missionaries too.
Pastor Lorenz’s living biblical principle is best expressed in John 15:7 . . . “7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.”
