Psalm 5:4

⁴For you are not a God who is pleased with wickedness; with you, evil people are not welcome.

“What are you doing?” a curious child asked his father.

“I am removing the weeds,” the father answered.

“Come, join me!” the father invited his child.

“Which one is weed?” the child inquired.

The father showed the difference between the weeds and the plants. Then the father said, “Be careful when removing weeds next to the little seedlings. You might remove them together with the weeds.”

They enjoyed chatting of random things and removing weeds as well. Then the father said, “Look at these little seedlings; they are very small. I did not notice when I removed the weeds, they were plucked out because they grow close to the weeds.”

Someone said, “The corn is not choked by the weeds but by the negligence of the farmer.” Corn is taller than many garden plants; if corn is choked by weeds, it apparently proves negligence of the farmer. Indeed, it is crucial process in farming or gardening to remove the weeds. Christ explained in Matthew 13:38-43, ³⁸“The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom. The weeds are the people of the evil one, ³⁹and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels. ⁴⁰As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. ⁴¹The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. ⁴²They will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

God is expert gardener. He identifies and removes the weed from his plant. Make sure that you genuinely believe in Christ. How? Sincerely pray that his Holy Spirit inspires you to make disciples. A plant is identified with its fruit. Similarly, if you are genuine disciple of Christ, he will certainly inspire you to make disciples.

Lord Jesus, please inspire me to make disciples.
