Handiwork

 Ecclesiastes 9:11

11The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all.

Any competent individual can easily access articles and videos posted online about exceptional athletes who have lost their chance to win gold medals in competitions, strongest participants who failed to qualify because of untimely freak accident, powerful politicians who had been dethroned somewhere, graduates with multiple degrees who find it hard to land a job of their dreams, undergraduates who made headlines as one of the wealthiest billionaires, and the most educated and most experienced individual who was excluded from a most coveted position. Unfortunately, those are a reality that Solomon the wisest king of Israel had observed in his generation that are still very relevant and observed in this generation.

Even when we cannot control our fate and future, we should still do what we ought to do, no matter what may happen next. But, don’t even try to impress or please others with achievements and attainments, you’ll regret. It’s impossible to please everyone. But if we do our best in everything we ought to do and are satisfied with the result, gladness of heart is sure delightful; and, we should just consider as an added bonus when others appreciate our efforts. Pursue your dream not impress others but to discover and maximize your potentiality.

Remember Ephesians 3:10: 10For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Can you accept that the Lord had already decided the best lifestyle we can ever experience on earth? As we rely upon the Holy Spirit of Christ, the good Lord leads and guides us to reach our potentiality until we accomplish the mission purposes he had designed for us. In everything we do, reliance upon the Holy Spirit of Christ would help us earn our eternal treasure in heaven.

Lord Jesus, keep on reminding me to trust you in everything I do.
