Ecclesiastes 10:19  

¹⁹A feast is made for laughter, wine makes life merry, and money is the answer for everything.      

There was picture of older retirees who were sleeping on a boat while floating somewhere in Venice, Italy. It should have been a luxurious and enjoyable travel tour; and perhaps, they just enjoyed resting in their sleep on the boat and not anxious about taking selfies where they travelled. Yet, someone had commented, “That is why, you should not wait until retirement before you travel.” And, others have agreed, and many subscribers liked it.

Retirees may have sufficient savings but they have no sufficient strength for extended travel tours. Young people may have sufficient strength but they have no sufficient money to spend for luxurious travel tours. Working people may have sufficient money and sufficient strength but they have no sufficient time for extended travel tours. Every person should expect different kind of struggles at different stages of life. And, travel tour cannot sufficiently provide satisfaction in life. Be wise in your expenditure. Use money wisely to benefit you eternally.

The Lord Jesus told a parable in Luke 12:16-21, ¹⁶“The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest. ¹⁷He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.’ ¹⁸“Then he said, ‘This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. ¹⁹And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.”’ ²⁰“But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’ ²¹“This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.”

Truly, money is very useful in life. And, believers of Christ: Pray for godly wisdom so that you may spend some amount of your money in preparation to your life in heaven eternally.

  Lord Jesus, please help me earn eternal treasures.
