Prosperity

Psalm 4:6

6Many, Lord, are asking, “Who will   bring us prosperity?” Let the light of   your face shine on us.

Indeed, who would not like prosperity? Who does not benefit from progress? Who is hesitant to pray for salary increase or promotion? Who likes to dwell in very poor state forever?

It is not foolishness to desire pleasant life. It is biblical to aspire for life in abundance! Jesus Christ had promised in John 10:10, 10I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Christ is the Lord of lords. He is the Lord Almighty who challenges us in Malachi 3:9-12, 9You are under a curse—your whole nation—because you are robbing me. 10Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. 11I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the Lord Almighty. 12“Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land,” says the Lord Almighty.

The Lord Almighty wants all believers to testify that to “Give his tithes” is an open secret to overflowing blessings. Surely, only genuine believers trust that the Lord fulfills his promise of overflowing blessings to givers of his tithes.

Church attendees may argue whether the tithe of God is taken from gross income or net income. Why? There is hesitation in their hearts to give the tithes of God. Hesitation practically implies lack of faith. So instead of arguing, if the tithe of God is taken from gross or net income, it is far better to pray for increase of faith until you sense peace from God. And, you won’t hesitate; you won’t argue about the tithes of God.

A great number of ordinary Christians can testify that the Lord had abundantly sustained them practically and spiritually when they give to the Lord his tithes, even more than ten percent of their income. Pray for increase of faith, and you will be blessed even more.

Lord Jesus, please increase my faith even more!
