Consider
Psalm 8:3-4
3 When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, 4 what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?
It narrated in 1 Samuel 23:1-5, 1When David was told, “Look, the Philistines are fighting against Keilah and are looting the threshing floors,” 2 he inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I go and attack these Philistines?” The Lord answered him, “Go, attack the Philistines and save Keilah.” 3 But David’s men said to him, “Here in Judah we are afraid. How much more, then, if we go to Keilah against the Philistine forces!” 4 Once again David inquired of the Lord, and the Lord answered him, “Go down to Keilah, for I am going to give the Philistines into your hand.” 5 So David and his men went to Keilah, fought the Philistines and carried off their livestock. He inflicted heavy losses on the Philistines and saved the people of Keilah.
David saved the city of Keilah from the Philistines. But when he heard that King Saul was coming after him, David did not depend on the people of Keilah to save him, even after he saved them from the Philistines. David inquired of the Lord, and the Lord told him that Keilah will hand him over to King Saul. David and his men moved from place to place. It narrated in 1 Samuel 23:14, 14 David stayed in the wilderness strongholds and in the hills of the Desert of Ziph. Day after day Saul searched for him, but God did not give David into his hands.
King Saul pursued David, but the Lord kept David and his men safe from the hands of King Saul. Many times, David inquired of the Lord before he decided to do something. The Lord kept David safe in all his battles. And David was very quick to consider that his safety was in the hands of God.
