Psalm 13:6
6I will sing the Lord’s praise, for he has been good to me.
Singing was one obvious talent and hobby of David the greatest king of Israel. His singing voice and playing of musical instrument must have been very impressive that whenever King Saul was depressed, he asked David to play his harp. The book of Psalms is attributed to David because he wrote most of the Psalms to be sung by the Israelites. Eventually when David became king, he ordered the Levites to appoint singers and musician to sing praises to the Lord. It narrated in 1 Chronicles 15:16, 16David told the leaders of the Levites to appoint their fellow Levites as musicians to make a joyful sound with musical instruments: lyres, harps and cymbals.
Singing praise songs to the Lord has become integral part of Christian Worship Services. We sing praise songs to the Lord as expressions of our gratitude to the Lord and his gracious goodness and kindness to us. Coming to Sunday worship services punctually in time to sing praises to the Lord congregationally should reveal gratitude of each believer. The more our heart is filled with gratitude, the more we prioritize the Lord. Together with grateful children of God, we gather as a church, the body of Christ, in singing praises to the Lord with gladness. It transcribed in Romans 3:3-4, 3What if some were unfaithful? Will their unfaithfulness nullify God’s faithfulness? 4Not at all! Let God be true, and every human being a liar. As it is written: “So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge.”
Many times, we are faithless, but God remains to be faithful. He does not turn his back to his faithfulness. However, God can also enable us to be punctual during worship services when we seek his inspiration for us to faithfully praise him all the days of our life. Certainly, God is just and righteous. He practically and spiritually blesses faithfulness and punctuality of his children.
Lord Jesus, inspire me to praise you faithfully.
