Shelter
Psalm 7:6
6Arise, Lord, in your anger; rise up against the rage of my enemies. Awake, my God; decree justice.
They hid inside their bomb shelter as adversaries tried to get in but failed. One of the survivors recalled the last message that she sent to her family before her phone ran out of battery. “I told my children to love each other; I told my husband to take care of our children. And, I tried not to show my tears to those who hid with me in the bomb shelter. After a while, we got out of the bomb shelter and found out that the village was totally burned down.”
Have you ever had a dreadful moment when you were scared that it could be the end of your life on earth? What readily comes to mind when dangerous circumstances occur unexpectedly?
Seriously reflect on what it declares on Proverbs 3:24-26, 24When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. 25Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, 26for the Lord will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared.
As long as the mission purposes of the Lord are not accomplished in our life, he won’t take us into his heaven, just yet. We can be assured of his protection. How strong do you believe that? By faith in Christ, we believe this reality but not necessarily ignore any possible disaster. Anytime could be our time to leave this world. We’ve got to diligently obey the Lord’s instructions. We ask God for help whenever we make decision, even with familiar things. Pray for increase of faith that God gives victories against adversaries. Let us do our best to rely upon the Lord and not on previous victories. So, whenever we sense doubt, we have to seek our confidence in the Lord and not on what we are able to do.
Lord Jesus, increase my faith to trust you always.
