Ecclesiastes 5:15

15 Everyone comes naked from their mother’s womb, and as everyone comes, so they depart. They take nothing from their toil that they can carry in their hands.

To dream the impossible dream. To fight the unbeatable foe.  To bear with unbearable sorrow. To run where the brave dare not go. To right the unrightable wrong. To love pure and chaste from afar. To try when your arms are too weary. To reach the unreachable star. This is my quest, to follow that star. No matter how hopeless, no matter how far. To fight for the right. Without question or pause. To be willing to march. Into hell for a heavenly cause. And I know if I’ll only be true. To this glorious quest. That my heart will lay peaceful and calm. When I’m laid to my rest. And the world will be better for this. That one man scorned and covered with scars. Still strove with his last ounce of courage. To reach the unreachable star.

The above lyrics of the song, “The Impossible Dream,” define articulately a supposition of life with peace and tranquility of heart. This song suggests great choices of the dreamer, a fulfilling life he presumed to attain which are far better than aimlessness. Truly, not a few people are very sure of the career path they would take. Most of us use trial and error approach until we come across the path that we desire to follow for the rest of our life.

Have you found a satisfying lifestyle, yet? Have you concluded that the career path you are taking leads you to the kind of life you wish to have? Do you sense some sort of peace and tranquility in your heart? When you are satisfied with the life you have now, you sense a peace of contentment even when storms of life disturbs you once in a while. When the Lord Jesus said, “Come to me… and I will give you rest,” (Matt. 11:28), it includes His offer of help for us to find the career path He prepared specifically for us. It says Proverbs 19:21, 21Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. It feels great to have dreams but great dreams outside the will of God are futile. Why? God’s purposes always prevail. Better yet, ask God to set His plan is your heart to be productive.

Lord Jesus, please set it in my heart Your plan for me.
