Intimidation

Psalm 7:14

14 Whoever is pregnant with evil conceives trouble and gives birth to disillusionment.

Intimidation is the name of the game of conflict and warfare. They prepared, advanced, and attacked an unsuspecting peaceful nation. They sent hundreds of tanks and artilleries. Hundreds of thousands of soldiers in their full gear marched and destroyed anything they did not like that was not beneficial to them. They planned to intimidate the smaller nation to surrender; but they were badly mistaken. Instead of winning the battle, they found themselves in trouble on how they may sustain their initial objective to conquer a smaller and peaceful nation. Did they anticipate that a peaceful nation can be dangerous somehow?

Most often, we observe intimidation as plot in many action-drama movies. Intimidation is also employed occasionally in real life in the past and even in this generation. It narrated in Nehemiah 6:12-14, 12 I realized that God had not sent him, but that he had prophesied against me because Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him. 13 He had been hired to intimidate me so that I would commit a sin by doing this, and then they would give me a bad name to discredit me. 14 Remember Tobiah and Sanballat, my God, because of what they have done; remember also the prophet Noadiah and how she and the rest of the prophets have been trying to intimidate me.

When oppositions intimidated Nehemiah and his people, he prayed and God enable them to complete the building of the walls of Jerusalem in just 52 days.

By any chance, has anyone intimidated you in school, at workplaces or anywhere? Like Nehemiah, it is very advisable to seek help from the Lord and experience much of his wonderful ways. When we see deliverance from the Lord we praise and thank him.

Lord Jesus, inspire me to seek your help always.
