Psalm 16:10
10You will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, nor will you let your faithful One see decay.
Lord Jesus Christ did not see decay after his death on the cross. Interestingly, Psalmist prophesied about it. The earthly remains of Jesus was buried but he was not abandoned to the realm of the dead. It actually happened in Luke 24:1-7, 1On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. 2They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. 5In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? 6He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: 7‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ ”
Three days after his death, Jesus Christ rose from the dead. His resurrection should inspire us to rejoice greatly with hope that when he returns, Christ will resurrect all believers who died, and we won’t be abandoned to the realm of the dead. Reflect on 1 Peter 1:3, 3In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
By faith we accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Our sinful self has gone, and the Lord resurrected us to new life. Resurrection to new life in Christ is personal transformation that we should testify about. Pray sincerely and ask the Lord to help you notice which worldly behavior he transformed from you to praise and thank him.
Lord Jesus help me testify for your transformational work in my life.
