Psalm 17:15
15As for me, I will be vindicated and will see your face; when I awake, I will be satisfied with seeing your likeness.
An infatuated man wished, “If ever I see your face whenever I wake up in the morning, that could be the most wonderful moment in my life!” Have you ever had that kind of wish about someone? Probably, you are infatuated. Seriously, you may have said or sung, “I love you, Lord!”
A missionary testified of their conversation before his father died. He asked, “Dad, what do you look forward to most about heaven?” “Jesus,” his dad simply said. His dad wanted to see Jesus, face to face. The missionary praised God that his dad’s waiting time to see Jesus, face to face is over. He also added that many said sorry for his loss but he clarified that his dad is not lost, and they know exactly where he is—he is in heaven.
Christ declares in Matthew 5:8, 8Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Who can have pure heart? It proclaims in Genesis 6:5, 5The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. It also declares in Isaiah 64:6, 6 All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags.
How can we be righteous before God? We become righteous before God, when by faith, we believe that the Lord took all our sins and crucified them with Christ. When we repent of our sins, God forgives us, and he also gives us eternal life. When Christ returns and takes us into heaven, we will see him face to face.
It declares in Revelation 22:4, 4They will see his face, and his name will be on their forehead.
Make sure you see Jesus, face to face. Re-dedicate your life to Christ.
Lord Jesus, strengthen my faith in you.
